“The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
There is power in our words. Our planned words we share with our children are important but I believe our everyday casual conversations have more impact over the ones we intentionally plan. Our daily conversations we have with our families are who we really are. As the verse says, “out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks”. What is coming out of your heart? How easy it is to change our words and tone for church on Sunday or visitors in our home or strangers in the store. How easy it is for us to just speak before we think of the impact to those we love most on this earth – our families.
Victory over our words is a battle we must fight daily because we are teaching our children our view of who God is through our daily speech.
