Cleaning Homemaking Homemaking 101 Series Organization Reader Favorites

Let me walk you through some basics of where to begin when you don't even know where to begin: @mferrell

I want to address those readers out there that are overwhelmed. Maybe you're the reader who is drowning in clutter and chaos. Maybe you're the reader who has some semblance of order but just can't seem to get anything productive done from day to day to keep the clutter and chaos under control, so you have to spend days at a time trying to gain order back. You may be the reader who never had the care and keeping of your home modeled for you by your mother or an older ... continue reading...

by Marci Ferrell
Food

My simple recipe for making chicken broth in the crock pot. Either with cooking your own chicken or using a store bought rotisserie chicken. @mferrell

Making homemade broth was not something we did in my family.  I must have been born in the generation when Swanson's canned broth was a new item on the shelf.  My first introduction to making my own broth and the benefits of it was through a favorite cookbook called Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon.  Homemade broth is a rich source of electrolytes, minerals, and gelatin which supply our bodies with important nutrients we need and help to improve our digestion.  Broth is a weekly ... continue reading...

What’s for Dinner???

by Marci Ferrell
Food Homemaking Homemaking Binder Menu Planning Organization

I used to make three trips to the grocery store every week (at least) and plan my dinner for that day in the morning.  I knew I had to be more disciplined in the area of menu planning than I was, but where was I to start?  I am not a tech savvy person, and I love pencil and paper, so I knew whatever I did it was going to have to be simple and not very complicated.  I had quite a collection of cookbooks already and had favorite dinners that we loved to eat each week.  Flylady was a system that I ... continue reading...

If we want proof of God’s love for us, then we m If we want proof of God’s love for us, then we must look first at the Cross, where God offered up His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Calvary is the one objective, absolute, irrefutable proof of God’s love for us.⁣

Jesus is the only righteous one who perfectly deli Jesus is the only righteous one who perfectly delighted in the law of the Lord and meditated on it day and night. Jesus is like the tree planted by streams of water. His life was abundantly fruitful, and all that He did, He prospered. His life, death, and resurrection accomplished the salvation of sinners—all those who can’t live up to the demands of Psalm 1 but put their faith and trust in Jesus alone for salvation.⁣

Treating your husband with respect is not somethin Treating your husband with respect is not something that your husband must first earn; it is something that you choose to show him. It is an underlying heart’s attitude that is to be prevalent regardless of your circumstances and in spite of your feelings. ⁣
⁣
How respectful are you to your husband? The way you talk to him? About him? We’re going to tear apart Ephesians 5:33, in which we as wives are not suggested to but commanded to show respect to our husbands whether or not we feel he deserves it.⁣
