Hello friend,
I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve been a homemaker now for over forty years, and for so many of those years I measured my days by how much I checked off my to-do list. If I finished my list, it was a good day, and if not, my day felt like a failure. So often the thought went through my mind, Does any of this really matter? The laundry and dishes and errands that we finish one day start all over again the next. Over many years of walking with the Lord, He has used His Word to change the way I see my work at home, and He’s still teaching me. If you’re anything like me and you’ve wondered whether what you do in your home makes any difference, I want you to know that God is at work in your ordinary days. In the midst of what seems mundane, He is molding you more and more into the image of Jesus.
That’s the heart of Homemaking Matters. I’d love to see you read it alongside your daughter, a dear friend, or a younger woman from church. My hope is that it will bring about much discussion and encouragement as you care for your homes together.

Meet Marci
Marci Ferrell is a wife, mom, grandmother, and longtime homemaker who has spent decades learning how God works through the ordinary days of caring for home and family.
She writes and speaks to encourage Christian women to love God deeply and steward their homes faithfully. Marci is the host of the Thankful Homemaker podcast and blog, where she shares biblical encouragement and practical help for everyday life.
She and her husband Doug live in Wisconsin and treasure time with their children and grandchildren.
