Biblical Womanhood Homemaking Menu Planning Podcast Prayer Time Management Titus 2

I'm sharing some of the simple tools that have helped me manage my time over my 34 years of being a wife, mother, and homemaker. I continue to tweak them over the years and various seasons of my life. @mferrell

I'm sharing some of the simple tools that have helped me manage my time over my 34 years of being a wife, mother, and homemaker. I continue to tweak them over the years and various seasons of my life. What I love most about them is that they are all free. You don't need to purchase anything extra to implement these tools into your day. I share items that I've purchased or used but it is not necessary.  We all do things differently, and there is no right or one way to manage our days, ... continue reading...

EP 81: Elisabeth Elliot on Hints for a Quiet Time

by Marci Ferrell
Bible Study Christian Living Podcast Prayer Spiritual Discipleship Time Management

Having a quiet time with the Lord every day is absolutely essential if you expect to grow spiritually. But you have to plan it. It won't "just happen." @mferrell

As Christians, we all desire to grow more and more into the image of Jesus. We want to "keep killing sin", we want to "love others as we love ourselves" and mostly we want to know and love Jesus more because all those other good things will follow if that is our first pursuit. You can read the post below in (6 minutes) or listen in to the podcast (18 minutes) where I share more content. 4 Truths to Pray for One Another

by Marci Ferrell
Christian Living Prayer

Wisdom in God's ways is something we should all desire to seek as believers and to pray for others that are in Christ.

I love reading the prison prayers of Paul (Ephesians 1:15-23, 3:14-21; Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-12) because we see the heart of what the apostle desired for us. Amid this trial, Paul didn't pray the believers in Ephesus or Philippi would live their best life now. He didn't pray for material blessings, but his focus was on the spiritual and the unlimited and glorious blessings we have from being in Christ. "He did not ask God to give them what they did not have, but rather ... continue reading...

These are great questions to print out and tuck in your Bible for your own personal time of reflection or good discussion questions to work through together as a couple or family. @mferrell

So many times, we can go about our day and not take the time to "consider our ways" (Haggai 1:5).  Donald Whitney has shared 10 Questions to help you to pause and ponder the direction your life is going. These are great questions to print out and tuck in your Bible for your own personal time of reflection or good discussion questions to work through together as a couple or family. Have your doctrinal views, and all your knowledge of Christ, packed away in a handy form so that, when people want to know what you believe, you can tell them. If they wish to know why you believe that you are saved, have your answer all ready in a few plain, simple sentences; and in the gentlest and most modest spirit make your confession of faith to the praise and glory of God. Who knows but what such good seed will bring forth an abundant harvest?⁣

I can still pick up a book to read to my grandbabies that I read to my children when they were little and be taken back to those days of sitting with my babies on my lap getting lost in the story. I can hear in those memories the giggles, or surprise or sadness depending on the story in the voices of my children. It's been fun to make new memories with my grandchildren and possibly one day even my great-grandchildren.⁣

Just as we turn the calendar and think about our Bible reading plan for the year, I know many of us think about what books will be on our nightstands, in our cars, suitcases, coffee tables, and on our bookshelves.⁣
