I’d love to help you simplify your meal planning. Check out my new menu planning course here.

The Lord is working out all things for my good and His glory, with the end purpose, always being to mold me more into the image of Jesus. @mferrell

God’s providence at work in my life should be one of my greatest securities in this life. Knowing that nothing is by chance or fate, but all is being worked in and through my life through a good God who knows me better than I know myself. The Lord is working out all things for my good and His glory, with the end purpose, always being to mold me more into the image of Jesus.

God knows the circumstances needed in my life to make me more like Jesus and they're different than the circumstances needed in your life.

Many times I forget about God’s providence at work in my life. I see interruptions as an inconvenience. These aren’t interruptions, but what the Lord has appointed for me at that moment. My heart isn’t always ready to respond with that sort of thinking in mind. It reveals my heart needs some pruning.

God Appoints Our Portion – @Thankful Homemaker (quotes from Frances Ridley Havergal and A.L. Waring at the end of the episode)

“I don't know but I know God knows.”  ~ Alistair Begg

“The great thing, if one can, is to stop regarding all the unpleasant things as interruptions of one’s ‘own', or ‘real' life. The truth is of course that what one calls the interruptions are precisely one’s real life – the life God is sending one day by day: what one calls one’s ‘real life' is a phantom of one’s own imagination.”   ~ C. S. Lewis

“God is a faithful Physician, and therefore will turn all to the best. If God does not give you that which you like, He will give you that which you need. A physician does not so much study to please the taste of the patient, as to cure his disease. We complain that very sore trials lie upon us; let us remember God is our Physician, therefore He labours rather to heal us than humour us. God’s dealings with His children, though they are sharp, yet they are safe, and in order to cure; “that he might do thee good in the latter end” (Deut. 8: 16).”  ~ Thomas Watson, All Things for Good

Self Discipline is essential to spiritual growth a Self Discipline is essential to spiritual growth and it is useful in our lives in so many ways.
