Why the Home Matters
As I think about the ministry of home, I’m always drawn back to these words from J.R. Miller. They’ve encouraged me for so many years, and they continue to remind me that our homes are not insignificant places. They’re the primary setting where so much of life, love, and discipleship happens, often in simple and unseen ways.

A Place of Everyday Discipleship
The longer I walk with the Lord, the more I see how true this is. Our homes shape us, and they shape the hearts of the people who live within them. We don’t need big moments or perfect routines to make an impact. We just need simple, faithful, everyday obedience. It’s in those ordinary moments of serving our families, opening God’s Word together, praying over needs, and tending to the daily work of home that the Lord is at work.

Your Faithfulness at Home Matters
Whether you’re in a season of raising little ones, navigating life with teens, serving as an empty nester, caring for aging parents, or even pouring into grandchildren, your faithfulness at home matters. The world may overlook this kind of work, but the Lord sees every act of love, every sacrifice, and every simple task done for His glory.
Your home is one of the primary places where God has called you to live out the gospel. And by His grace, He uses ordinary moments to build eternal things.
