Submission as an Act of Worship

by Marci Ferrell
Christian Living Communication in Marriage Marriage Marriage Series Submission

Submission is a sweet, undeserved gift we can give to our husbands because we have a great love and trust for the Lord.  #submission @mferrell

Would you think of your submission to your husband as an act of worship to the Lord? To be perfectly honest it's not the first thing that comes to my mind. When I'm reminded that my submission to my husband is to be voluntary and is not dependent on his behavior, then I can see how it is an act of worship and obedience to the Lord in his calling for me as a wife. 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the ... continue reading...

by Marci Ferrell
Christian Living Communication in Marriage Marriage Marriage Series Podcast Submission

If I could just cut to the chase, here is the true heart of what submission is all about…it is about humility. It is being unselfish, having no pride, no self-importance; “but with humility of mind, considering others” and in this case the other being your husband, “considering your husband as more important than yourselves @mferrell

Marriage Marriage Series Podcast Respect Submission

Christ is our ultimate example of a loving, respectful servant. @mferrell

We’re continuing in our series on marriage at the podcast, and episode 36 is on respect.  So far we've covered God's Design for Marriage and Our Role as Women, Loving Our Husbands, and today we're talking about what does it look like to show respect to our husbands. What is respect? How is it defined? The dictionary defines it - A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. We are called by God to respect ... continue reading...

10 Lessons from the Life of Mary

by Marci Ferrell
Biblical Womanhood Christian Living Contentment Marriage Submission

There are many lessons we can learn from her life, but I want to share just ten today. @mferrell

Every Christmas season I look forward to reading the account of the birth of Christ in Luke together as a family on Christmas morning. I'm amazed at Mary's faith.  What must have gone through her mind when Gabriel approached her?  How did she process the news that she and Joseph were to raise the Son of God?  What depths of sorrow did she endure while watching her Son die a horrific death on a cross? There are many lessons we can learn from Mary's life, but I want ... continue reading...

Dear friends, I recorded this episode last year af Dear friends, I recorded this episode last year after sharing my testimony with my church family. It was one of the hardest podcast episodes to work through. ⁣
⁣
My testimony comes from one who remembers what it was like to be unsaved and seeking an abortion and now coming from the other side of being born again, a new creation in Christ and understanding the beauty of forgiveness and redemption in Christ. ⁣
⁣
No sin is beyond the grace and forgiveness of God, even the sin of abortion. True forgiveness, hope, and healing can only be found, but it is only found in Jesus Christ. ⁣
I pray you'll listen in if you haven't yet. ⁣

Have your doctrinal views, and all your knowledge of Christ, packed away in a handy form so that, when people want to know what you believe, you can tell them. If they wish to know why you believe that you are saved, have your answer all ready in a few plain, simple sentences; and in the gentlest and most modest spirit make your confession of faith to the praise and glory of God. Who knows but what such good seed will bring forth an abundant harvest?⁣
