by Marci Ferrell
Cleaning Homemaking 101 Series

Dream with me a moment.  You walk into your kitchen, and there is a place for everything.  Dishes aren't piled up in the sink, cupboards are tidy, and the fridge is clean and orderly.  Whipping up a meal is easy and an absolute joy. All your kitchen tools are right at your fingertips.  It has the appearance of almost cleaning itself.  Okay, this is a dream but not one that is too far off from reality. Your kitchen will never clean itself, you will never have ... continue reading...

by Marci Ferrell
Homemaking Homemaking 101 Series Organization

Can I get a hand raise of how many of us are not particularly fond of paperwork? My hand is raised high and after being married 30 years and being the primary keeper of our filing and bill paying I have been through so many different filing systems I can't even begin to count them. Let me tell you, I have found the one that works best for our home and my pattern of dealing with paperwork in a somewhat organized manner.  I'm not buying another book on home filing again! We all need some ... continue reading...

Homemaking 101 Series: Getting Ready for Company Fast!

by Marci Ferrell
Cleaning Homemaking 101 Series

I have some favorite cheats that I use daily in keeping my house looking cleaner than it really is.  No one knows, or even notices, the dust in your house or if it hasn't been vacuumed for a bit.  How often do you visit a friend and think, "When was the last time she ran a vacuum?" You don't, because you just enjoy being with your friend and you don't notice the condition of her home.  On the other hand, you don't want to get so relaxed in your cleaning that people are afraid to sit on your ... continue reading...

by Marci Ferrell
Cleaning Homemaking 101 Series

Having routines set in your day can make the whole day run smoothly and those routines tend to become habits over time.

I find comfort in the routines of the day. The reality is we all deal with parts of our day that have to be taken care of on a daily basis. This applies whether you are single, married, with or without children. Having routines set in your day can make the whole day run smoothly, and those routines tend to become habits over time.  They say it takes 21 days to form a habit so you can see how emptying the dishwasher can be done without having to think about it. ... continue reading...

Homemaking 101 Series: Our Time With the Lord

by Marci Ferrell
Homemaking 101 Series

"God is the author of the Bible, and only the truth it contains will lead people to true happiness. A Christian should read this precious Book every day with earnest prayer and meditation. But like many believers, I preferred to read the works of uninspired men rather than the oracles of the living God. Consequently, I remained a spiritual baby both in knowledge and grace." ~George Muller As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ not one of us would desire to remain a babe in the faith.  We all ... continue reading...

If we want proof of God’s love for us, then we m If we want proof of God’s love for us, then we must look first at the Cross, where God offered up His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Calvary is the one objective, absolute, irrefutable proof of God’s love for us.⁣

Jesus is the only righteous one who perfectly deli Jesus is the only righteous one who perfectly delighted in the law of the Lord and meditated on it day and night. Jesus is like the tree planted by streams of water. His life was abundantly fruitful, and all that He did, He prospered. His life, death, and resurrection accomplished the salvation of sinners—all those who can’t live up to the demands of Psalm 1 but put their faith and trust in Jesus alone for salvation.⁣

Treating your husband with respect is not somethin Treating your husband with respect is not something that your husband must first earn; it is something that you choose to show him. It is an underlying heart’s attitude that is to be prevalent regardless of your circumstances and in spite of your feelings. ⁣
⁣
How respectful are you to your husband? The way you talk to him? About him? We’re going to tear apart Ephesians 5:33, in which we as wives are not suggested to but commanded to show respect to our husbands whether or not we feel he deserves it.⁣
